Who is neRD?
The brainchild of a registered dietitian, neRD Clothing Company creates designs that satirically, yet affectionately embody the RDN, RD, and RD2B. We've been unapologetically celebrating food, nutrition, and the field of dietetics through premium apparel and accessories with fresh and edgy design since 2020.
Examples of things we keep in mind while coming up with our designs. You know those feelings you getβ¦
- When someone spells it with a C? We get it.
- When youβre referred to as dietary, nutritionist, nutritionalist, etc.? We get it.
- Knowing no one is going to read that progress note that was written to perfection? We get it.
- Literally anytime Dr. Oz is mentioned? We get it.
- When you hear the words keto, plant-based, natural, and so on, and so on? We get it.
- Knowing a client is most likely going to doublecheck everything you say with their trainer or chiropractor? We get it.
And there are countless other examples that can be listed, but here you are, still an absolute rockstar nutrition expert every damn day of your life, and proud as hell to write that credential after your name. Yeah, we get that too!
So we take all the feels, put them to a design, and smack it on some premium apparel and accessories, just for you. Because dietitians are the health warriors, disease fighters, world feeders, and truth speakers, and weβre going to let the world know.
Please, make no mistake, this ainβt Etsy, and you wonβt find any βWorldβs Greatest Dietitianβ shirts here. Not that thereβs anything wrong with those products. We simply donβt do generic, and cutesy is not our mood. Not all of our designs will represent every dietitian, but thereβll be at least one that sums it up for you perfectly. And lastly, we have and will always design with the dietitian in mind, but you donβt necessarily have to be one to appreciate a lot of our merch. If the message speaks to you, feel free to rock that ish with an RDβs blessing.
So who is neRD? It's every clinical dietitian that's had a patient think they walked into the room to take their meal order, and every RD CDE that's had to somehow professionally explain that the doctor was wrong and bananas don't have too much sugar. It's anyone who believes that food is to be celebrated, not villainized, and that diet culture is much more dangerous than any "unhealthy" food.
neRD is you. It's me. It's n e RD.
